About the Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work at the intersection of engineering, AI deployment, and customer problem-solving, helping enterprise customers successfully operationalize AI systems in real-world environments.

This is not a traditional backend engineering role. You will work directly with customers, product teams, and engineers to design, build, deploy, and refine AI-driven solutions across complex enterprise workflows.

The role combines software engineering, integrations, infrastructure, deployment ownership, and AI systems thinking, making it ideal for someone who enjoys ambiguity, end-to-end ownership, and solving practical operational problems with technology.

What you'll do

• Build and deploy AI agents for enterprise use cases.

• Design and implement integrations across customer systems and APIs.

• Work across infrastructure, cloud, backend, and lightweight frontend layers.

• Solve complex operational and workflow problems in production environments.

• Partner closely with customers and internal product/engineering teams.

• Own deployments from early design through production rollout and optimization.

• Contribute to real-world AI deployments used by enterprise customers globally.

• Operate in fast-moving environments where each deployment may require a tailored technical approach.

What they’re looking for

• 3+ years of experience in technical problem-solving roles

• Experience leading or contributing to solution scoping, discovery workshops, or early-stage AI/technical strategy in collaboration with sales, product, or deployment teams

• Strong fundamentals in software design, system design

• Clear communication skills and a strong ownership mindset

• High-agency mindset: you don’t wait for perfect requirements and are comfortable creating clarity, proposing direction, and driving decisions

• Experience working across systems, integrations, and data flows

• Comfort working directly with customers and owning ambiguous problems

• Curiosity and interest in building AI-powered systems that work in practice

Nice to have

• Experience in forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-facing roles

• Exposure to AI agents, automation, or conversational systems

• Experience operating and improving production systems
